Southern Pioneers carry out Municipal Festival of the Song

Two Big Prizes were granted this Tuesday in the Municipal Festival of the Song “Cuba beautiful Cuba”, taken place in the House of the Culture “Olga Alonso” of the head city, in Santa Cruz del Sur, and its winners were selected to represent to the territory in the provincial event.

The laurels corresponded the soloists Claudia Guerrero Fonseca, of the “ESBU Camilo Cienfuegos”, and Yumeiler Maldonado Frías, of the “Maximum Gómez”, with a special recognition to the art instructors Diosbel Pedroso and Reinier Rodríguez who advised to the winning.

There also obtained rewards the soloist Marineikis Pérez, of the school “October 8”, of Cándido González, and the trio of the school “Renato Guitard”, of The Jagua, conformed by the students Lucía Tamayo, Sandra Pérez and Daniel Adrián Abreu, besides the mentions to the duets of the schools “Jesus Menéndez”, of the candidense zonal, and of the “Assembly of Santa Cruz”, and to the soloist Roxana Álvarez of the “José Martí.”

The contest was developed with the prospective quality, and the participant facilities of the different Popular Council, standing out the representations of The Jagua and Cándido González, which had an excellent performance in this cultural edition, although all the contestants deserved the public's ovation and specialist, in the varied goods that competed.

It is a sample of the chore of the young generation of Santa Cruz in the cultural work, as much in the interpretation as in the formation of the beginner figures of the local artistic chore. (Hugo Betancourt Mayoral)
