Ana María Pérez Pino revived memorable moments of her life when hardly two days ago he received the prize “Gustavo Sed Nieves 2009” that granted him the filial of Camagüey of the National Union of Historians of Cuba.
And it is that Ana María was always bound to the illustrious historian of Camagüey Gustavo Sed. It was his friend, and traveled next to him the roads of the history of this beautiful county.
The prize was given during the conclusions of the V Encounter of Regional and Local History that had for headquarters the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey.
Other historians were also rewarded by their chore: Amparo del Risco Turiño received the prize “ Fidel Izquierdo Nápoles”, for its contribution to the teaching of the History.
In turn, Ricardo Muñoz Gutiérrez received the “Juan Torres Lasquetti” that surrenders to the best work in the year published by the editorial villager Ácana.
The event equally recognized the participation of more than 60 investigators of all Cuba, young many of them that begin in the historiographic studies.
But, for Ana María the prize “Gustavo Sed” comes being the continuation of a dream come true, because from now on their friend's memory and partner of investigations, will accompany her much more.
Because it is the prize to a life dedicated to her Camagüey; it is the prize to the idea of waking up of her dream the sleeping histories during centuries.
Ana María Pérez Pino has been devoted to the investigation of diverse topics of the history of Camagüey and about the life of several personalities of the territory, besides having worked during many years in the Provincial Museum “Ignacio Agramonte”, of our city, where he left his investigative legacy equally.
For Ana María this prize “Gustavo Sed Nieves 2009”, it is the recognition of a legendary earth that he thanks him his love and dedication.
