HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 7 (acn) Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa arrives in Cuba on Wednesday for an official visit at the invitation of his Cuban counterpart, Raul Castro.
According to Granma news daily, this visit is in keeping with the historic bonds of friendship and cooperation that exist between the peoples of both countries.
During his stay in Cuba, Correa will hold official talks with Raul Castro and will visit places of historic, scientific and social interest.

Havana will Host Second Cuba-Panama Business Round
HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 7 (acn) The 2nd Cuba-Panama Business Round will take place in the Cuban capital on January 21-23 and, with this meeting in mind, the Panamanian Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI) has already began to negotiate with the productive sectors of this Central American nation in order to determine which products will be on the list for the business event.
According to Prensa Latina news agency, the Panamanian negotiating group, comprised of officials from MICI and the Panamanian Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA), will also discuss with their Cuban counterparts about topics such as the list of specific assets, rules of origin and solution of controversies.
During the most recent visit to Cuba of Panamanian President Martin Torrijos, which concluded on Monday, the head of MICI, Gisela Alvarez, discussed aspects of the bilateral trade between Cuba and Panama with the Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade, Raul de la Nuez.
In this regard, Alvarez said that the Cuban market offers business opportunities that are attractive to Panamanian exporters.
