Showed in UNESCO headquarters in Camagüey works of Ileana Sánchez

Painter of Camagüey Ileana Sánchez. Camagüey, March 19- Works of the painter of Camagüey Ileana Sánchez are exposed by fifth time in Paris, now in the headquarters of the Organization of United Nations for the Education, the Science, the Culture, the Communication and the Information, UNESCO.

Corresponding to several thematic series, the three pictures figure in an inaugurated international sample on Wednesday in the institution.

The inclusion of Sánchez's pieces is related with the official proclamation, in last February, of the status of Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity conferred to the foundational sector of the urban historical center of Camagüey, the artist's native territory.

The referred creations are “Bicitaxi”, “Flying on the city” - both with references to the town - and “Clowns”, in which there is a singular use of the style naif.

Full with cubany, of exuberant coloring, and with similar appearance to the comic ribbons, the paintings of Ileana Sánchez testifies the premeditated interest of reflecting - with the domain of technical academic - seemingly frank images.

The author'spictures have been exhibited, also, in eight countries of America and Europe, among them, United States, Brazil, Spain and Cyprus.

Graduate of the Provincial School of Art located in the capital of Camagüey, Ileana Sánchez has murals in public spaces of Cuba and in the exterior, as those of the alley of Benicia Perdomo and the Park of the Cats, in Camagüey. (AIN).
