The Superior Education is perfected in Camagüey

A novel experience begins to travel the University of Camagüey, first been founded in Cuba after 1959.

Here, 20 youths of preuniversitaries of the territory, study the twelfth grade stops in September of 2010 to enter to Mathematics's career. The cloister, of the house of high studies, imparts them the plan of studies that corresponds to this educational period, together to an intensive additional program that includes laboratory classes, conferences, and vocational orientation.

The initiative constitutes a road more to increase the access to the careers of Exact Sciences and it is also implemented in the universities of Havana, The Villages, Holguín, and Santiago de Cuba. They add 377 the students preseleccionated in the whole country for this project.

"I always identified a lot myself with the Mathematics, it is a subject in which I have acted very well. This opportunity will allow me to end up being a future investigator, my great dream"; says Alia Garrudo, student that studies the twelve grade at the moment in the University of Camagüey.

The entrance to the University through exams of History of Cuba, Spanish and Mathematics; also generalizes in Camagüey, so much for the day regular course, like it stops courses at distance, for workers and in the universalization of the teaching.
This year it is also reinforced the ideological political work, as well as the direct bond between the student body and the production.

Lianet Goyas Céspedes rector of the University of Camagüey, informed that: - "during thirty days in the course, the students will be devoted to work in the production and in the services, besides contributing with the current constructive repairs in the center. This way an educational space will be propitiated that forms to the professional futures with work culture and at the same time contribution to the economy of the country.
