Work in Camagüey in the prevention of the pregnancy in adolescent

The prevention of the pregnancy in the adolescence one of the priorities of the system of health constitutes in the county of Camagüey, with the participation of the specialists of the Infantile Maternal Program of Attention.

To achieve that purpose the doctors and nurses of the territory, guarantee in the areas of primary attention, the constant investigation and the control of the gestants, through the Basic Groups of Work (GBT) and the supervisors, in charge of offering an opportune pursuit to the youths and infants.

In the community contacts the sanitary authorities use diverse explanatory methods with emphasis, in the risks that the youths face before, during and after the childbirth, the Caesarean operation in the adolescence, the importance of protecting the maternal uteruses and the dysfunctions that causes the gestation without the required maturity.

In the last years more than 13 percent of the childbirths that have taken place in Camagüey, correspond to young smaller than 14 years, a fact that demands bigger respopnsability of the couple, the support of the family and the sistematizatization of the actions of prevention and sexual education directed to that group etareo.
