The Equine therapy advances in Camagüey

Around six years ago the Equine therapy began in the region of Camagüey, for idea of the Commandant of the Revolution Guillermo García Frias, treatment that goes waking up motivations for the life in the children with physical-motorboats problems.

At the beginning of this sensitive programs they were only attended 6 infants, in a small installation of the city head, however, today in a hectare enjoy the opportune system 163 children, accompanied by their parents.

The Center, located in areas of the Country Casino, the biggest urban natural park the country, has a multidisciplinary group that gathers physiotherapists, art instructors, of the INDER and other specialists, with the check mission constantly the abilities that leave acquiring there.

The integral therapy that is imparted here has as main character to the horse, because the exercises with him, allow to stimulate the whole muscular nervous system of the organism, causing in the boy favorable reactions for its development.

The cloister and the workers of the unit receive training and constant superation to pour their knowledge from Monday to Friday, in the sessions of the morning and the afternoons.

Circles of interest to work the mud, or the urban agriculture, stables for horses, salts of wait enabled to make theater, hint of exercises with the animals, amphitheater outdoors and real possibilities to represent diverse cultural manifestations as the painting, the theater and the dance, characterize this opportune installation.

To it unite a point of sale of gastronomic varieties for big and small, a clinic with all the requirements, to prevent, to cure and the checking the health of these children, limited physical or mentally.

In the country doesn't surpass in 7 the number of these centers, rectorades for the national company for the protection of the flora and the fauna, in coordination with different organisms and entities like: special education, health, culture, INDER, the CROSS and the Sectoral of Trade, among others.

Juan Miguel Fahjó, director of the Center of Equine therapy in Camagüey pointed out: “The Equine therapy toasts in a privileged environment of green areas, gardening, in a healthy, natural atmosphere, so that the boy adapts easily to the system. Until the moment, the expectations have been completed.”

“In this installation, he added, the visitor can appreciate and to receive like gift the modules of acnes, the paintings or diverse designs created by the little children who receive a careful attention here.”

And continued saying: “It is encouraging to see happy to the parents, when they observe with satisfaction the happiness reflected in the faces of their children and they feel sure of the advance and development that come experiencing these infants, thanks to the kindness and effectiveness of the Equine therapy.”
