Work in Camagüey to reduce risks before possible floods

Camagüey. To diminish even more the range for the warning to the population of the capital of Camagüey, of possible floods caused by the intense rains, is fundamental purpose of the actions coordinated between the Meteorological Center and the Address of Hydraulic Resources in the county.

At the moment, that period is of some three hours and to reduce it constitutes priority for the application of the System of Alert Early before precipitations caused by atmospheric or climatic phenomena.

The execution of the procedure has a multi-brunch character, when involving to other organisms, organizations and entities, headed by the Civil, taken charge Defense all of safeguarding lives and material resources.

The installation of pluviometers in the basins of the main acuatories of the capital of Camagüey- the rivers Tínima, Hatibonico and their tributaries - together to the information of the Meteorological Radar, will allow that reduction in the alert to the community before the possible occurrence of floods for intense rains.
