The hope is the solidarity

Camagüey. - The jurists of Camagüey began their day with a wide debate about the violations of the process of the five fighters antiterrorists Cuban prisoners in North American jails.

The insensibility as regards human rights and the antecedents of a term “terrorism”, with meanings and variable consequences according to like it is applied, they were edges to explain the new challenges from the campaign of support previous World cup to the revision of the Supreme Tribunal.

In conversation with Teresa Hinojosa Torres, president of the Union of Jurists of Camagüey, Adelante consented to a specialized opinion in this respect, which reaffirms that only the international opinion could mark the turn toward a fair trial and without political vengeances.

Since her lawyer position How do you values the next step of revision of the Court after the North American government's pressures?

“The Supreme Court has the ability that of admitting or not a matter. What happens to this case that the system of Anglo-Saxon right has its characteristics, it happens very different to Cuba, because they have the possibility that third people, the Amicus Curiae or friends of the court according to its translation, if they have interest in a certain process they can offer arguments and that these they intervene in the process. A body of judges revises the arguments of the Amicus and they make annotations to the tribunal.

“Like government is entitled the whole to give his opinion but of course they oppose to that it is revised because in fact they demonstrate that there is you politized the matter. It is already the government's politics that doesn't have any interest in that the Five Heroes receive the true justice.

“The lawyers already presented their allegations regarding that application of revision of the case, then it is necessary to wait the verdict of the Supreme Court of if it consents to revise the files. If it is affirmative their determination, and according to their recommendations, the process begins again. That would be a victory: to achieve that the process is revised.”

In the case that finally the case is not revised How the process would be?

“Such and like it is until the moment. In Cuba it also exists the revision process and it is the last option of a prosecuted. There in spite of the big differences among our right systems, it is also the last possibility.

“It is important that one keeps in mind the topic that the chosen headquarters should never be Miami, a scenario in hostile end and parcialized. It was a faked trial where they were left to a side important tests and later there were incongruities when spent the reclamation to the Court of Atlanta.

“The revision of the Supreme Tribunal could be the last option; they have one year to decide and they will recess this summer, but in fact the hope is not this Court, but the world solidarity. Of the clamor of the international opinion the future depends.”
