Will reestablish starting from Monday flights between Cuba and Mexico

Havana.We Transmit the informative note of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba that publish today Granma newspaper and Juventud Rebelde.

Assisting to the appearance in Mexico of the influenza AH1N1, unknown illness until then, and the increment of the reported cases, the past April 30 were suspended the flights temporarily from and toward that brother country, like part of the actions of prevention and International Sanitary Control settled down by our National System of Health.

These measures contributed to the decrease of the risk of introduction of the illness in our means, not being reported any autochthonous case so far or cared in Cuban citizens, the four confirmed in Cuba, like was informed appropriately, correspond three Mexican students and a Canadian boy.

In the same measure in that the epidemic has gone experiencing a growing rhythm of diffusion in nations and number of sick and deceaseds, Cuba has strengthened and sophisticated the measures of International Sanitary Control and of Clinical-epidemic Surveillance, what allows to reduce the possibility of introduction of the virus and the emergence of epidemic buds. Also, we have acquired the protection means and the necessary medications to offer a qualified medical care to the probable ones sick, as well as teams of passengers' detection with feverish syndrome, those that one has come installing in the international airports.

Keeping in mind the above-mentioned, decided to leave without effect, starting from the first of June, the adopted measure of "temporary suspension" of the flights between Cuba and Mexico.
