HAVANA, Cuba, March 20 (acn) The book "Fidel Castro. Reflection of the Commander of the Revolution” was launched in Kiev, the Ukraine’s capital, through some fifty media outlets.
The presentation was held in the Cuban embassy, where ambassador Felix León Carballo noted that the book included a selection of the most important articles written by Fidel, translated into Russian.
The diplomat thanked the initiator of the project, Dmitri Tabachnik, deputy to the Ukrainian Parliament, who expressed his interest in the figure of the Cuban Revolution leader, reported Granma newspaper.
The parliamentarian said that the 58 essays compiled –written from March 2007 and November 2008- cover different topics of world interest, from climate change to fuel production, and the U.S policy against Cuba.
Tabachnik recalled his meetings with Fidel, on one of which he gave the Cuban historical leader the "Yaroslav the wise " Order, one of the most important of Ukraine.
The Ukraine deputy said he had never met a Head of State who can talk in details about so many different topics and be able to quote the most diverse statistical figures, with the accuracy of an encyclopaedia.
