Camagüey. The new cyclonal season began this Monday, June 1st, in the municipality of Camagüey, under the premise of advancing as much as it is possible in the reduction of the risks in the economic objectives and communities of the town.
After the realization of the Exercise of Defense Civil Meteor 2009, made by the middle of May, the program of directed actions continued, in the fundamental thing, to improve and to clean the bed of the rivers,to cut sick trees and to clear the sewer system.
Such tasks should multiply in all the areas of defense of the territory, with the purpose that each demarcation is declared list to face the new cyclonal season, to lapse officially up to November 30.
In the economic objectives will work, also, in the adaptation of the plans of reduction of disasters, starting from the experience of the step of the Hurricane Ike with emphasis in the measures that avoid losses of human lives and of material resources. (Miguel Febles Hernández)
