Will sesion in Cuba Culinary Festival of the Caribbean

Havana, March 19. (AIN) The First Culinary International Festival of the Caribbean will take place in Santiago deCuba in coming September, it was given to know in this capital.

In the appointment, experts of 25 countries of the region will exchange experiences about the typical food as symbol of the cultural identity of the towns, informs today the revolving Juventud Rebelde.

As President of Honor of the Organizing Committee of the event was named the chef Gerard Dupont, president of the Culinary Academy of France who has imparted conferences and masterful classes in several gastronomic centers of the Island.

In declarations to the mentioned juvenile newspaper, Dupont said that the Cuban cookers work well, but more ideas are necessary for them and to increase their nutrition knowledge.

He also advised to use less the salt and the sugar in the kitchen of Cuba, because they are products that damage the health in excess.
