Pioneers have reissued liberation of the towns for 50 years

Santa Clara, Dec 23. With the symbolic taking of Placetas and Manicaragua for the pioneers, today the fight will have been remembered for 50 years of the Rebellious Army, against the forces of the tyranny in those towns of Villa Clara.

The emancipatory geste well-known for Campaign of The Villages that the Commandant Ernesto Guevara directed in the central region of Cuba, began October 27, 1958 with the attack to the barracks of Güinía of Miranda in the hills of the Escambray to those that followed other actions.

For these days the small ones with their uniforms green olive , the bracelet of the Movement July 26 and Cuban flags, stage assaults to the old rural guard's barracks and park of the police that defended the régime that wrong governed to the country before 1959.

The pioneers reissued the fight liberated by the Column Eight Ciro Redondo in the town of Báez and the taking of the barracks of Zulueta, in charge of forces directed by the Commandant Camilo Cienfuegos in the north front of Las Villas.

The municipalities of Remedios and Caibarién will also carry out respectively the days 25 and 26, the symbolic takings and acts for the Anniversary 50 of the revolutionary victory, and starting from the 28 the recall of Santa Clara's Battle will begin with the assault of the different combat places in the city.

The new generations will sustain meetings with members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution who will talk about the liberation war in which participated and the internationalists missions played by the Cubans in other lands.
