Cuban Music Festival Celebrated in Japan

HAVANA, Cuba, March 24 (acn) A great Cuban music festival has been held in Tokyo, the Japanese capital, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Cuba-Japan diplomatic relations.

The presentation, that took place at the Ueno Park amphitheatre, in the municipality of Taito, in greater Tokio, included a motley of Cuban musical genres, showing the artistic level of Japanese interpreters.

Internationally known Cuban choreographer and dancer Narciso Medina, was in charge of the artistic production and direction of the show, which drew hundreds of Cuban music fans.

The rhythmic diversity, form and richness of sound of the music from the archipelago, masterly interpreted by amateur artists, were transmitted to the audience, some of whom closed the night by enthusiastically sharing the stage with the artists.
